While Erik, Kyle and myself would love to do a META-4 campaign book that covers the Reserve, the META-4 organization, the city of Arcadia, and even more villains, the sheer amount of work necessary to translate our notes into a readable book is beyond what we could do under any time frame that would be acceptable and fair to Green Ronin and you guys.

Erik, Kyle and I have some pretty intense day jobs (Erik is Editor-In-Chief for Dungeon and Dragon Magazines, I’m the Art Director of said magazines, and Kyle art directs Undefeated Magazine and draws the monthly comic Downer for Dungeon Magazine). The time we used to have for writing and development got swallowed up right about the time we were 3/4 done with Crooks! and since then, we’ve had precious little time to pursue anything beyond a few hours a week to play Katamari Damacy or make sure our girlfriends are still talking to us.

We still come up with new ideas for META-4 regularly, and Erik has several notebooks full of tiny little handwriting (ala the notebooks that John Doe kept in Se7en) chock full of goodies about everyone from the Pugilist to the space traveling
superteam Courage Unlimited.

I was, however, able to contribute to Noir, and I hope you’ll all be excited by the information that shows up there. I think you’ll dig it, and I had a blast writing it. It might be a little on the mysterious side, but it’s cool stuff.

Rest assured that the META-4 universe isn’t dead, it’s just in a Cthulu-like slumber, waiting patiently to be set loose upon the world.

And remember, Super Unicorn loves you!
