Courage Unlimited has some inspiration from the Fantastic Four, but also from the Challengers of the Unknown and the Silver Surfer. That’s probably as close as we’ll get to an analog of existing comic book characters.

That said though, the Fantastic Four and Spiderman are two of my favorite super hero concepts. I’m sure once we get into the meat of META-4, we’ll see some of those concepts pop up here or there.

The Upstarts are a group of younger, inexperienced heroes. Much like the Reserve, but without any government backing or sanction.

Forward | Courage Unlimited | A Note on Notes | Thematic Influence | The Luciferian | Roll Call | Knock-Off | Gimmick | Twist | Cyclone | The Pugilist | Minotaur, ANTAG and Bestiary | Iraq Discoveries | The Reserve | The Front
